Sehr zufrieden mit dem Buch. Übersichtlich und wie ich finde sehr einsteigerfreundlich. Gut gegliedert, mit einer grossen Auswahl an anschaulichen Abbildungen zum jeweiligen Kapitel. Kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen.
Der Autor und Mediengestalter Robert Klaßen hat ein solides Lehrbuch für die neue Version von GIMP, der kostenlosen Alternative zu Photoshop, vorgelegt, die man sich von gimp.org herunterladen kann. In der Königsdisziplin der digitalen Bildverarbeitung, dem Freistellen von Motiven, werden aber die Grenzen sichtbar. Der Autor wählt dafür bezeichnenderweise das eher anspruchslose Motiv einer Blume, das er vom Hintergrund freistellt und in ein anderes Bild montiert. Attraktiver wäre ein Fotomodell mit Löwenmähne gewesen, denn wehende Haare freizustellen, ist wirklich anspruchsvoll. Man darf gespannt sein, wann GIMP in diesem Feld zu Photoshop aufschließt.
